Behind The Lens episode 243: ‘The photo voltaic Motherhouse’


This week on Behind The Lens, a U.S. District decide ordered the Louisiana Division of Corrections to submit a plan to guard inmates laboring on the Farm line at Angola who face “instant threats” from working in excessive warmth with out enough safety. The prisoners had filed an emergency movement asking to halt the harmful and generally lethal apply. The DOC appealed the choice.

And the nuns at The Sisters of the Holy Household are developing photo voltaic panels on the order’s New Orleans East motherhouse, to create the town’s twelfth solar-driven Group Lighthouse. The challenge goals to create a microgrid resilience hub for the neighborhood.
