The New Orleans Police Division has declared a SWAT roll in New Orleans East.

Police say a person is barricaded in a house with a number of weapons on New Fortress Avenue.

Police say they declared the SWAT roll round 4:15 a.m. after police arrived on scene and the person refused to go away the house and barricaded himself in.

Police say the sufferer was in a position to get out of the house safely earlier than the standoff started.

NOPD says the preliminary name got here in at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday as a home easy battery after a girl reported being assaulted within the dwelling by a person.
