Behind The Lens episode 274: ‘Human decency’


This week on Behind The Lens, a brazen escape from the Orleans Parish jail in New Orleans happened final month. With elevated consideration on circumstances within the jail, we check out a new program which offers digital tablets to incarcerated people, which officers say is supposed to  “scale back total violence within the jail, enhance high quality of life and scale back stress amongst incarcerated residents.” The jail, run by the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Workplace, has been underneath a federal consent decree since 2013.

For the second consecutive 12 months, a federal choose tells the Louisiana Division of Corrections to present Farm Line employees with protections from the sweltering summer season warmth.
