President Donald Trump has picked Louisiana’s Jeff Landry as one in every of 10 state leaders on his Council of Governors, the White Home introduced Thursday.
The bipartisan group, established in 2008, strives to kind stronger state-federal partnerships for nationwide safety, catastrophe response and army coordination points.
Govs. Josh Stein, D-North Carolina, and Glenn Youngkin, R-Virginia, had been named co-chairs of the council.
