Madonna to Launch ‘Ray of Delicate’ Remix Album, ‘Veronica Electronica’

Madonna will lastly launch her long-rumored problem “Veronica Electronica,” that features unusual and unreleased remixes from her legendary 1998 album “Ray of Delicate.” The album can also be obtainable as part of the “Silver Assortment,” her ongoing career-spanning sequence of limited-edition silver vinyl reissues.

The album arrives July 25 digitally and on silver vinyl, with “Pores and pores and skin (The Collaboration Remix Edit)” obtainable now. It’s part of the singer’s 2021 handle Warner Music that seen her catalog returning to the company that launched her first albums.

An eight-track companion to “Ray of Delicate,” “Veronica Electronica” was initially envisioned by Madonna as a remix album in 1998. The problem was ultimately sidelined by the distinctive album’s prolonged string of hit singles. “Ray of Delicate” went on to advertise higher than 16 million copies worldwide and earned Madonna 4 Grammy Awards, along with Best Pop Album. The album’s title is in itself a throwback, as “electronica” was a loosely outlined late-‘90s musical type of hard-hitting digital dance music, outlined by Prodigy, Moby, Underworld, Fatboy Slim, and typically stretched to artists like Bjork and Daft Punk. Optimistically thought-about a successor to the multiplatinum “totally different” wave, the event, if it ever was one, quickly petered out with the tip of the final decade and the millenium.

“Veronica Electronica” choices newly edited variations of membership remixes by Peter Rauhofer, William Orbit, Sasha, BT, and Victor Calderone, along with the distinctive demo of “Gone, Gone, Gone” — a beforehand unreleased recording produced by Madonna and Rick Nowels.
