ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A Mississippi man is lifeless following a crash that occurred in St. Tammany Parish on Saturday, July 12.
Based on the Louisiana State Police, troopers with Troop L started investigating the crash, which occurred on Interstate 59 close to the Interstate 12 interchange with St. Tammany parish, round 10 a.m.
Troopers say that 64-year-old Barry D. Stockstill, of Picayune, Mississippi, was driving a 2001 Mercury Mountaineer north on I-59 whereas pulling a trailer. For causes which are being investigated, the automobile veered off of the street, hit a tree and turned over.
Stockstill was reportedly correctly restrained, however sustained deadly accidents and was declared lifeless on scene. A passenger within the automobile sustained average accidents and was taken to a neighborhood hospital for remedy.
A toxicology pattern was taken from Stockstill as a part of the continued investigation.
