New Orleans nun kidnapped, launched in West Africa dies at 86



NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — In 2022, the world discovered of New Orleans Marianite nun, Sister Suellen Tennyson after she was kidnapped in West Africa and held captive for 5 months.

On Wednesday, April 2, the Clarion Herald reported Tennyson died on the Sisters’ residence in Covington on the age of 86.

In April 2022, following her return to New Orleans, Tennyson described the evening she was kidnapped saying she was taken kind her mattress with out her sneakers and drugs , blindfolded, gagged and placed on the again of a bike.

She claimed that after the experience she was handed to a different group who she says “handled her moderately properly.”

In August 2022, she was freed and launched to the  FBI, the U.S. Embassy and Air Power who introduced her dwelling.
