NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Investigations into separate August murders have resulted in three arrests by the New Orleans Police Division.
On Thursday, Aug. 28, the NOPD introduced three individuals have been taken into custody accused of committing homicides in New Orleans East, Seventh Ward and the French Quarter.
The primary incident occurred within the 7800 block of Almonaster Avenue on Aug. 9. NOPD officers report 23-year-old Helmer Valeriano is going through a cost of second diploma homicide.
He has since been booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Heart.
The second murder occurred on Aug. 12 within the 2100 block of Allen Road.
NOPD reported that at 9:20 p.m. on that Tuesday, they responded to a triple capturing within the space. Consequently, a person and 37-year-old Brent McDonald was taken to a hospital by EMS.
McDonald was pronounced. The third sufferer, 17-year-old De’Von Franklin, was taken to the hospital by automotive however died from his accidents hours later.
