NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Division is investigating a deadly hit-and-run close to the Pontchartrain Expressway.
Round 1 a.m., officers stated they have been referred to as to the scene of a crash involving a pedestrian close to the elevated part of United States Freeway 90 Eastbound on the O’Keefe exit.
Upon arrival, officers reportedly discovered the unresponsive sufferer. EMS pronounced the sufferer useless on the scene.
NOPD officers stated the automobile that struck the sufferer reportedly fled the scene.
The crash left Freeway 90 east closed for a number of hours as officers diverted visitors off the street by way of the O’Keef exit.
No additional particulars can be found at the moment. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Workplace will launch the sufferer’s identification after an post-mortem is and the household is notified.
