ST. CHARLES PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A home violence suspect was hospitalized after being shot in St. Charles Parish on Sunday, June 3.
Deputies with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Workplace reported that at 9:26 p.m., they have been known as to a house on Bayou Gouche Street to answer a home violence incident.
An investigation revealed that the 911 name consisted of a lady telling deputies that her boyfriend, 26-year-old Dalton Todd, was allegedly holding a gun to her head.
Upon arrival, deputies positioned themselves outdoors the house in an effort to name Todd out.
Todd allegedly exited the house with the gun in hand. Deputies mentioned they ordered Todd to place the gun down, to which he refused, leading to them capturing “less-than-lethal beanbag rounds.
The beanbags have been deemed unsuccessful, as Todd allegedly started advancing towards deputies with the gun. In keeping with deputies, they shot Todd in his legs.
Deputies mentioned Todd was airlifted to College Hospital the place he was listed in steady situation.
The investigation is ongoing.
