Kenner police chase ends with police automobile in Bayou St. John


NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — State troopers, New Orleans police and Kenner PD officers gathered alongside the financial institution of Bayou St. John Tuesday night time after a police automobile crashed into the water.

A short while later, solely the Kenner officers remained on the scene as a result of it was their division’s automobile that was within the bayou.

Based on the Kenner Police Division, round 10:45 Tuesday night time, officers responded to a shoplifting name from a enterprise within the 800 block of West Esplanade Avenue. Police describe the shoplifting suspects as two girls who left the scene in a gold, 4 door Honda SUV.

Moments later, a Kenner officer noticed the automobile taking an eastbound ramp on I-10 towards New Orleans and adopted it.

The chase ended when the officer, in response to police, misplaced management of his automobile and crashed into Bayou St. John close to the intersection of Esplanade Avenue and Moss Road.

Kenner police say no person was damage and the suspects acquired away.
