Man arrested, accused of sexually assaulting two girls on Lafitte Greenway

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Division have arrested a person in reference to the investigation of two sexual assaults that reportedly occurred on the Lafitte Greenway.
NOPD officers mentioned officers acquired stories on Thursday, Could 23, that two girls had been sexually assaulted whereas strolling or jogging close to North Broad and St. Louis streets round 7:10 a.m. and within the 3700 block of Conti Road round 12:23 p.m.
On Could 24, NOPD Intercourse Crimes Unit detectives mentioned they recognized the suspect as 38-year-old Joseph C. Davis and issued a warrant for his arrest.
On Saturday, Could 25, NOPD officers mentioned Davis was arrested after officers acquired a tip.
Davis was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Heart on a cost of tried first-degree rape and a cost of easy battery.
NOPD officers mentioned the investigation is ongoing.
