METIAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — Metairie’s Charles A. Wagner Library will shut for renovations later this month.
Jefferson Parish officers stated the library, situated at 6646 Riverside Drive, will shut for 10 weeks beginning on Aug. 12 whereas the library will get an replace.
Parish officers stated the work will embody including a brand new assembly room, updating the library’s inside, putting in new flooring, including new school rooms, upgrading lighting and doorways, portray the area, including energy-efficient home windows and insulation, integrating new areas into the present constructing, extra parking and HVAC, sprinkler and plumbing updates.
Parish leaders stated residents can go to the North Kenner Library at 630 West Esplanade Ave. or the East Financial institution Regional Library at 4747 W. Napolean Ave. whereas the Wagner Library is closed.
The library is ready to reopen in November.
