NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Division have been on the scene of a SWAT roll on Thursday, July 25.
The NOPD reported a person, recognized by police as Brandon Laurant, barricaded himself inside a house within the 1800 block of Washington Avenue whereas a U.S. Marshals Process Drive was serving a warrant round 1:21 p.m.
NOPD officers mentioned the warrant was associated to “an tried homicide incident in Jefferson Parish.”
Laurant reportedly surrendered to police round 3:10 p.m. He was arrested and faces prices of tried homicide, flight from an officer, aggravated prison injury to property, theft and felony drug and weapon violations.
In response to the NOPD, two extra individuals have been discovered inside the house, and an “investigation is ongoing concerning these topics’ involvement.”
