Delisha Boyd might run for New Orleans Mayor

A state lawmaker simply filed marketing campaign paperwork stating their intent to run for a citywide seat. State Rep. Delisha Boyd, D-New Orleans, confirmed to WDSU that she plans to marketing campaign in 2025. Boyd has not made a proper public announcement.The citywide seat could possibly be for the mayor of New Orleans or for an at-large seat on the New Orleans Metropolis Council. “I’m enthusiastic about our metropolis! We now have the best metropolis within the U.S.,” Boyd advised WDSU. “It is time we’ve all palms on deck to alter our course.”Boyd was elected to the state legislature in 2021. She is an actual property dealer. Thus far, Metropolis Council President Helena Moreno has acknowledged her intent to run for mayor.
