HARVEY, La. (WGNO) — Officers with the Division of Transportation and Growth introduced the total closure of the Harvey Canal Tunnel.
Beginning Monday, Oct. 21 up till Wednesday, Nov. 27, the tunnel will probably be closed to all vehicular visitors.
This is because of building work being completed as part of the $53 million Harvey Canal Rehabilitation Venture.
At the moment, the westbound lane of visitors is open however will shut on Monday till April 4, 2025. The eastbound has been closed since February however will reopen to be used in November.
