JEFFERSON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Jefferson Parish leaders have introduced that two cooling facilities will likely be open within the parish on Friday, June 14, because of forecasted excessive temperatures.
WGNO meteorologists report the potential for file warmth on Friday and Saturday.
Parish officers introduced that the River Ridge and Terrytown branches of the Jefferson Parish Library at 8825 Jefferson Freeway and 680 Heritage Ave. will likely be open from 10 a.m. to eight p.m. to assist residents keep cool.
They stated residents must also keep climate conscious and supplied the next tricks to keep protected within the warmth:
- Put on light-weight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothes
- Keep indoors in air con and restrict out of doors actions
- Keep away from strenuous actions
- Put on sunscreen
- Keep hydrated
- Keep away from heavy meals, alcohol and sugary drinks
- By no means depart youngsters or pets in automobiles
