New Orleans Police Division welcomes new recruit class


NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Division welcomed its latest recruit class on Monday, June 17.

NOPD leaders stated Recruit Class 202 attended an occasion on the NOPD Coaching and Training Academy earlier than present process 27 weeks of academy-based coaching.

The category, comprised of 11 males and 5 ladies, was welcomed by Deputy Superintendent Jonette Williams, Metropolis of New Orleans Director of Public Security and Homeland Safety John Thomas and New Orleans Police and Justice Basis President and CEO Melanie Talia.

NOPD leaders stated the category contains women and men from Louisiana, Florida and New Jersey. 4 recruits are bilingual, and two recruits have navy expertise.
